Bollywood’s leading male singer, Sonu Nigaam has accused Subhash K. Jha of sexual harrassment. Subhash is a senior film journalist and Sonu accused him of sending him lewd SMS messages and asking for sexual favors. We have had sexual harrassment, casting couch and other such scandals in Bollywood before. But this is probably the first time when a male star has accused another male personality for sexual harassment. Even though people including myself always thought Sonu Nigam looks so gay (look at the picture below). But now that he has denied the rumors I take his words. He is straight and so cute.
Sonu says that Subhash K Jha is openly gay and almost every body in the film industry knows that. Sonu also told that once Subhash got drunk and tried to misbehave with him and expressed his love (or may be lust) for the cute singer. When Sonu refused to entertain Subhash’s dirty desires, he started to write negative about him in his film columns. In an open letter to the Times of India Sonu wrote:
It’s not a secret in the industry that he is a homosexual. God bless him for homosexuals are normal people with just different sexual preferences, just like men lusting for women is not a taboo. But a man punishing a woman for not complying with his sexual advancement is an issue right? So why isn’t a man imposing upon another man an issue? Isn’t this a free world?
If someone can do this to me, I wonder what the new strugglers, models and actors have to go through in this industry? My heart goes out to them. Please let them know we are not living in a jungle where someone’s silence is taken as a sign of weakness by a beast! Let them know that homosexuals have their right to be themselves in this society, but so do heterosexuals!
This is no more a secret that there are gay celebrities. Gay Indian actors who live an openly gay life style but media still considers it a taboo to bring out this gay Bollywood actors, models, producers, directors, etc to light. There are men in Bollywood who ask for sexual favors not only to female new comers but men are also a target of their lustful desires. I think it is important that such people should be brought to justice so that talented people can make their way into the entertainment industry without fearing any sexual harassment.

Vimla Patil over at South Asia Women’s Forum asks this question:
Is Bollywood debauchery encouraging adultery in our society?
Vimla is quite confused here. First of all I can not understand why she thinks that the adulterous relationship between Saif and Rosa was the reason behind Saif-Amrita divorce. She claims to know it all, she knows that Aamir Khan’s marriage ended because he was committing adultery with Kiran Rao and Akshay Kumar has adulterous linkages with Kangana Ranaut. I feel that the main reason behind the tragic endings of celebrity marriages is work environment, jealousy and negative press. Adultery is probably the most common reason behind broken marriages all over the world, not just Bollywood. But there are many things behind the news headlines that we people don’t know about these celebrities. We don’t know about their domestic lives.
I don’t know what Vimla thinks about Bollywood, but I think that Bollywood is just a popular name for Indian film industry. You can not say that Bollywood is encouraging adultery. It is just a coincidence that these men work there. She begins her article by quoting Billy Crystal saying, “Women need a reason to have sex. Men just need a place!”.
The adultry was there in Indian culture, even before Bollywood. I agree that movies have a potential to influence popular culture. But I don’t think that movies can change people’s nature. It is Men’s nature to lust, they would go for it even if Bollywood discourages them. There are many couples who work in entertainment industry and are happily married since years. Why look further, we have examples of Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bahduri, Shahrukh Khan and Gauri, Neetu Singh and Rishi Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan and Suzzane Khan. They are all living like normal couples. But blaming Bollywood for something that is already so common every where is totally baseless.

Movie industry in Pakistan is nearly dead now. With the movie industry’s death there is no room and work for illiterate, incompetent, B-grade female dancers in Lollywood (Lahore based Pakistani film industry). But there is a growing market for Pakistani Mujras all over the world.
Literally a Mujra is presentation of a poem, a song or a ghazal combined with classical or semi classical musical instruments and performed by a female courtesan. But since the courtesan culture is almost dead now, Mujras now refer to cheap dances designed to penetrate sexual desire among male audiences. Organizing such Mujra in Pakistan is illegal but still somehow these dancers find organizers for their shows and arrange their performances on stage in Punjab, Pakistan’s largest province. Recently government took strict action against such mujra shows and banned the theaters organizing such events. But the Mujras has found an alternate in Digital format. Available easily every where in Pakistan.
Nargis, khushboo and Mahnoor are some popular Mujra dancers. Their Mujra videos are available not only on CDs and DVDs but also on the web. Searching for Pakistani mujra, Lahori Mujra, Multani mujra or just the mujra would take you to sites offering downloads of the mujra video clips. I don’t think that mujras could be classified as porn since in most cases there is only female performer showing her upper body parts or shaking their bodies crazily. They are funny, sexy and some people find them erotic, porn or not but they are highly popular among Pakistanis and Desi men who are always looking for hot new desi mujra.
Pakistani entertainment industry has lots of jobs in television but these performers are incompetent to grab work on TV. Also the monetory benefits are huge. Performing in a Mujra CD for 50 to 100 thousand Pakistanis Rupees is just one day long job requiring the only talent of being shameless and pert. Thats easy money for these girls who never had a chance to earn proper education. The only education they have is the training they recieved in their red light district neighborhoods like Shahi Mohalla, Hera Mandi or Ghanta Ghar of Multan to entertain male desires and get a benefit out of it.

Well you must have read about the Mallika Sherwat’s performance at J.W. Marriot Hotel in Mumbai. A 49 year old businessman cum social activist Vinod Jain has sued Mallika for obsenity. You can read Vinod Jain’s interview on Mallika is caught pulling down the trouser of a man and the man appears quite embrassed about that. There are Millions of men who would love to get their trousers pulled away by Sherawat, but unfortunately that night became nightmare for Malika because it seems like that this unknown man is already on the list of Mr. Vinod’s list of witnesses and most probably he is going to tell the court that Malika attempted to molest and seduce him in front of a huge crowd.

In East Singhbhum, Jamshedpur, Teachers approached the Deputy Comissioner to take action against ABVP activists and news organizations that flashed the news.
The news is that a school girl was filmed naked inside the school and the clippings were circulated via MMS messages all over the city. However, no newspaper or activists alledged school administration’s involvement in the scandal but school has lost the reputation.
I think someone should take an action in such MMS cases. In most cases these are college or school girls shown nude or topless. Sometimes the victim is totally unaware of the camera presence and sometimes they happily put a show on for the camera. But considering the closed Indian society I dont think that any local girl could even think about getting involved in a sex scandal. Most probably they are filmed by people they trusted and people who may have promised not to share this video with anyone.
Privacy invasion, causing physical and emotional harm, destroying life of somebody aren’t these enough charges to put someone behind the bars? But the problem is that the victims of these MMS clips prefer not to mention the names of people who made these videos fearing further embrassment and public harrassment.

There is a must read article in the Sunday Express, ‘Meet the Bhaisexuals‘. Few days ago I was watching television, there was some filmi program running and we talked about just how over emotional Hindi films become. Sometimes it just becomes unbearable and people like me wants to burst into a laughter. I mean it is ok if our hero is sad and angry when his mom suddenly reveals that she is not her mother and that she picked him up from trash. But during such intense moments his mind comes out of the shock so quickly and it quickly starts compiling those great dialogues that our emotionally crippled hero would deliver with tears. Not only his mind but his body and the ability to deliver dialogues in easy Hindi both start working immidiately. They are the super beings you know.
Talking about bhaisexuals, quite many indian movies has scenes that reveal brotherly love between hero and his friends in such a way that it makes the girl blush. like two shirtless guys hugging each other or swimming in the same pole while throwing spalashes of water on each other. Or not to mention the hugging and promising to make their friendship unbreakable. I find such scenes quite hot, these gay romance like scenes turn me on like no other thing. Scenes like our innocent shy indian heroine entering the shower while hero is standing in shower wearing a knee length boxers and trying to hide his chest by wraping his arms around him. If the urban trend is going to direct how our filmi heroes maintain their relationships then I would really like to see Akshay Kumar kissing Safe Ali Khan, lips locked and in a warm waterbed.

In a recent interview Subhash K Jha asked Rahul Bose if he is seeing anyone:
No. I haven’t been seeing anyone for four years. Not even casual dating.
Q: Is that normal?
A: I don’t feel motivated to spend that much time on another human being right now.
Q:What do you do for sex?
A: I watch music videos on television.
Q: Or aren’t you able to find the right partner?
A: Could be because I am short and ugly.
May be he was just trying to get rid of the interviewer, or may be he is gay (he has worked in a short movie Bomgay), he could be short, but he is definitely not ugly. I find him very attractive and sexy and would love to go out with him on a date or anything else. Rahul please marry me!
