Shilpa Shetty got married to Raj Kundra, a London based businessman. 34 year old Shilpa’s career in Bollywood wasn’t as such great. But following the controversy of Big Brother Shilpa acquired an skill to remain famous for just being famous. She hasn’t worked in any worth mentioning bollywood movie since ages. But she remained in the news and now her big fat South Indian wedding is the talk of the town.

Who is Raj Kundra? He is a young millionaire from UK. Raj Kundra had an interest in Bollywood since a long time. Previously he tried to penetrate his way into Bollywood by launching Velocity Entertainment company which aimed to redistribute Hindi movies to European and North American markets. At that time in 2004, Raj Kundra told the media that he has grown up watching Hindi movies and he dreams to make it big in Bollywood. So I guess marrying a Bollywood Heroine is the dream come true for Raj.

Shilpa’s wedding got huge press coverage. It was an expansive wedding where money was no issue at all so it was bound to get media’s attention even if there was no Shilpa in the wedding. Shilpa decided to get married in South Indian style so she was dressed as a traditional South Indian bride on her wedding day. As you can see in pictures of Shilpa’s wedding.

The couple has planned to spend their honeymoon in Paradise Islands, Bahamas. According to sources Raj Kundra has booked a Luxury Suite for the couple at the Atlantic Resort. However, before leaving for the honeymoon Shilpa and her husband Raj Kundra are going to visit Oneness University in Chennai. According to the sources Shilpa and her husband are the followers of this spirtual group.

This week had been a little less eventful for the Bollywood as all the major releases are moved up to be released in the last of this month. We saw lots of Kareena and Saif together promoting their upcoming movie Kurbaan. We saw Aamir Khan talking about his upcoming idiotic adventure ’3 idiots’ where Aamir Khan who is currently 44 years old is playing a 22 year old college student.

According to Indiatimes Ranbir Kapoor’s good relations with Katrina Kaif was decessive turning point in the relationship. Deepika wanted Ranbir to put more effort in their relationship to succeed and Ranbir was unable to do that. Ranbir who was praised by critics after his first movie Saawariya has failed to maintain the success. Now his movie with Katrina Kaif ‘Ajab prem ki Ghazab Kahani’ is doing an average business and is expected to become a hit. Mumbai terror suspects had links to Bollywood Stars
David Headley, one of the suspects in the Mumbai terror attacks met bollywood actors, worked out with them and even visited the targetted locations with them. Rahul Bhatt, Emran Hashmi and some other Bollywood names get involved in the ongoing investigation. Of course, all of the linked stars has denied their association. But it seems like there is a big mess that is going to uncovered really soon.

Indian music maestro ustaad A. R. Rehman has won BAFTA award for the music of Slumdog Millionaire. Believe it or not I still haven’t seen the movie. But I have no doubt that A. R. Rehman’s music would be definitely outstanding. The man has proved himself a genius many times before. He is nominated for Oscar too and Allah Rakha Rehman is the only Indian with three Oscar nominations. Over all the movie Slumdog Millionaire has earned 10 Oscar nominations. Rediff.com talked to A. While my friend Addy is comparing Shahrukh Khan with Aamir Khan. I would like to spend sometime on comparing Shahrukh Khan with Akshay Kumar. You will find lots of people saying that Akshay has given many more hit movies than Shahrukh Khan during last few years. Unfortunately, these Akshay lovers are terribly wrong. Shahrukh Khan still rules the box office.

In 2007, Shahrukh Khan had two major releases. Chak de India and Om Shanti Om. Both did amazingly well on the box office. Shahrukh was praised for his role as “Kabir Khan” in Chak de India by critics. Critics didn’t like him much in Om Shanti Om but movie’s hype and better marketing techniques made it a blockbuster. 2007 was also the luckiest year in Akshay Kumar’s career. He had four hit movies back to back. Namastey London, Heyy Babyy, Bhool Bhulaiyaa and Welcome. What I don’t like about all these four movies is that Akshay never moved away from his Hera Pheri style. There was no change in his acting and character development was extremely poor. His character looked the same in all these four movies. There was no versatility and nothing new in his acting.

In 2008 two Akshay Kumar movies were released. Singh is King and Tashaan. Tashaan was a huge disappointment at box office. Singh is King did fairly well and it was the third highest grosser in Bollywood. However, Shahrukh Khan had only one movie as the major release in 2008. Rab ne Bana di Jodi which was the highest grosser movie of 2008. Akshay Kumar’s latest movie Chandni Chowk to China Town has caused distress to the film makers who has signed him at very high prices. Chandni Chowk to Chinatown went flat on box office and it seems like no one is yet ready to buy the rights for his upcoming movies. Rohini Bhandari at the Business of Cinema suggests that producers may need to re-evaluate Akshay Kumar’s upcoming movies.

If you take TV shows, advertising campaign and International tours to measure the market value and popularity of the stars then Shahrukh Khan clearly beats Akshay Kumar.

Honestly, I don’t really care about who is more popular. I love these kind of comparisons because I think such healthy rivalry improves the quality of Hindi Cinema. This race to be the no. 1. Bollywood star benefits the audiences. So I would say that we the audiences of Hindi movies should encourage such debates. By the way I dont think that Aamir, Shahrukh, Akshay or Salman could ever beat the charisma and stardom of Hrithik Roshan. Who is, in my opinion, the best male performer in Bollywood right now.

Everywhere anywhere, Salman Khan vs Shahrukh Khan’s rivalry is all over the Bollywood. Only a few people know that Aamir and SRK have an undeclared fight between them. Remember Farha Khan’s Om Shanti Om in which SRK stole the show and while also providing tremendous career growth to Deepika Padukone. Well, the trend has been adapted by our cute little Aamir. Having the film focus on him in terms of acting, story even songs! He has stolen the whole show and yet giving tremendous career growth to the south Indian actress Asin.

Of course how can we forget the six pack, we all can see the competition and Aamir really won that one flawless. One thing which no one realizes is that the competition between these two Khans is from the start. Yes, competition is healthy but we are talking about a personalized competition and it clearly shows when we see Aamir claiming in an interview that King Khan was “scared” to work with him.

“Fight! how can I dare to fight with Shahrukh. He is a very good friend and I have a lot of respect and love for him”. Aamir told the media while promoting Ghajini in Delhi and when he was asked about his views over SRK’s claim over the biggest screen star, Aamir took an indirect dig at the actor by saying, “People who are No 1. don’t state the obvious. For me Amitabh Bachchan is No 1. Does he ever claim about it. Does Lata Mangeshkar claim about it? Superstars don’t need to say anything about their status.”

From the very start SRK and Aamir have never shared screen space and even now. It is heard that they will make an appearance in Zoya Akhtar’s directorial debut ‘Luck by chance’ and guess what? SRK and Aamir will show up individually. This clearly shows that neither of them want eachothers A** to be bigger than theirs.

When Aamir threw the challenge to SRK by claiming that he is no. 1 Shah Rukh did not dare say a word against him. Instead he went on to say, “Aamir is a dear friend and if he says that I’m second to him then it’s a great compliment to him….oops that was a genuine slip of tongue (amidst peals of laughter)…I mean it’s a great compliment to me. We are complete opposites. He is an intelligent, intellectual person, I’m more physical. I do things. He thinks them out. I know his jokes, he knows mine. He is 100% No. 1…I just said Kkkk Kiran…he really loves Kkkkk Kiran”. Of course Aamir truly did himself with physical stuff so boo to SRK.

It is also true that Aamir named his dog Shahrukh. People think that Aamir admires Shahrukh so much that he named his dog after him but little do they know that what the real reason behind that is After a thrashing up from SRK’s fans Aamir apologized and said that he did not mean to offend but he thought that it would be a compliment for SRK (sure it was ).

The terrorist attack on Mumbai has been a devastating savagery after 9/11 and assassination of late Benazir Bhutto. One could not have imagined that something so destroying can happen. It seems that it is unpredictable even for the high authorities in the government to envisage the next step of these wild dogs (terrorists). Who were involved? Whether they belonged to Pakistan or some place else? Whether they had connections in the India-Pakistan government or not? No one knows. What we know is that people in India and Pakistan have been shaken, all are petrified to even step out and so are our beloved Bollywood actors and actresses. As if everything was seized when this slaughtering started and I do not use the word seized regarding films and movies but tongues seized too. Actors and Actresses were traumatized, did not know what to say or how to react.

Amitabh Bachan who had been shooting for his film Teen Patti in Ballard estate in the southern areas of Mumbai, in the district of the CST station describes the situation as ‘Terrible’.

After a few days of silence he writes in his blog.

‘Mumbai under terrorist attack! Several locations bombed and terrorist firing all over the city. Major hotels under seize. Multiple actions on. Army called on. It is a terrible situation.’

Ajay Devgan and his wife Kajol were cancelled off with their shooting of their animation film Toonpur ka superhero because of the circumstances in the city. It was awfully depressing for them. One of their spokesmen said that several TV channels have asked their employees to stay indoors. Shootings are going slow and that most of them are not even happening.

‘The Four Khans’ of the Bollywood industry were also threatened by the little known about ‘Indian Mujahideen outfit’. They have also claimed accountability for the Ahmedabad blasts. This threatening email was received on a Sunday. It said that the Muslim actors should stop acting in films at once or face death.

A lot of famous personalities in the Bollywood industry commented on this letter. Prashant Pandey, writer of Ram Gopal’s “Contract”, an action thriller movie which is said to be uncannily similar to how the Ahmedabad blasts were plotted (A movie being so similar to the reality is indeed a strange coincidence). He said in his statements that it was very unfortunate that actors were being targeted in the name of religion. One of the most hard statements came out of Aziz Mirza, who’s ‘Kismat Konnection’ had just been released, he said that terrorists must be cold shouldered. He says, “The terrorists are stupid guys. You don’t react to them. You just negate them. They can do whatever they want. Nobody listens to mad dogs. Nobody in the industry will give a reaction. Producers, directors, writers etc. were shocked but remained silent and so does Bollywood stays united behind the four Khans.

We all feel exceedingly remorseful for the loss of our beloved actor Ashish Chaudhury’s sister and brother-in-law. Thousands became sad on reading Ashish’s letter which he wrote to break the silence. I personally do not have words, what to write here for Ashish. We can only imagine that what would those two innocent kids (of Ashish’s sister and brother-in-law) be going through. I had always learnt that life is cruel but never adapted it. Now, I realize that the truth is that people in the form of terrorists make life cruel. On one hand I feel sad for Kanishq (12) and Ananaya (7) but on the other hand I want to tell Ashish that they are lucky to be taken care of. I picture those people who have no one, absolutely no one in this world now. I give my sincere condolences and show my sadness to our beloved actor, to all those people who are survivors and to those who have lost and let them know that we are here standing united to support.

Bollywood actresses like Sushmita, Aishwarya and Priyanka rule the skies and hearts of millions of people but when a lay man thinks that bollywood actresses are naturally perfect then I suppose he/she is in for a big shock. Eight years ago poor Sushmita Sen had teary eyes in a conference where she denied her Aesthetic Surgery (breast enhancement). Yes, these girls go through a lot before looking absolutely gorgeous. Well, our beloved Sushmita Sen goes clean but what about other actresses. Surprisingly people today actually enjoy talking about breast enhancements, silicone bags, silicone pouches, liposuction, cosmetic surgery and etc. and trust me if you think I am wrong then you would not have been here reading this.

The trend of pushup bras in the Western culture in the 80’s created the hunger. Pushup bras were felt comfortable to wear and to talk about in the bollywood industry in 1964, and then the competition rose in our politically organized film industry.

Aesthetic surgery also known as the B job in our slang language has been more actively practiced by our Dr. Ashok Gupta, a famous aesthetic surgeon. He does approximately 15 to 20 surgeries in a month that’s only one surgeon we are telling you about. Of course, B-job has been famous all over the world but let’s talk about our industry. The “Who has the fake boobs in bollywood list” OR “I have gotten a B-job done list” consists of actresses like Shilpa Shetty, Priyanka Chopra, Ayesha Takia (I personally give her 5/5), Sushama Reddy, Bipasha Basu, Rakhi Aditi Govitrikar and Koena Mitra (she has apparently had two). The last one actually gave me the laughs, I mean two times sheesh. What is the point?

Well the point is that the glamorous yummy looking figures are fake! And its heavily affecting the young generation. Dr. Narendra Pandya says half of the time 18 year olds are under his knife. What these teenagers do not know is that these likely cost effective surgeries can create fungus and leak inside those wobbly results of yours and the expensive ones, well they can cost an 18 year old a life time or perhaps their parents would pay for their costs. This is one thing which I hate about our actresses getting the B-job done and then openly talking about it and not only that but feeling good when these young girls follow their footsteps. Surprisingly mothers, grand-mothers, sisters, daughters, friends etc. enjoy talking about it. There is an interesting thought that once food, shelter and clothing are dealt with then one starts worrying about stuff like boobs, noses and fat all over the body to sum it up. This country is going in the hands of aesthetic surgeons more because of the B****es in the bollywood industry who like to show off their round huge chewable gummy boobs and talk about them more in open.

We want to see a lot, we want our heroes to do our dream projects, but the audience does not always get what they desire. It is every hindi movie lover’s desire to watch Aamir Khan the Mr. Perfectionist and Shahrukh Khan together in a movie. In a love triangle, a romantic comedy, or some historical epic. Whatever the theme is audience want to see them together in a movie, and just imagine the market worth of the movie. It would be definitely a very huge investment and producers would get back atleast half of their money even before the release of the movie.

Shahrukh Khan is all set to his “Temptation Reloaded” in Germany. Shahrukh khan is desperate to make the tour a hit and is extra guarded as the Bachans “Unforgettable Tour” ended up receiving a mixed response by the audience. Hence SRK is not in mood to take chances, other stars who are expected to join this tour are Priyanka, Arjun Rrampal, Rani Mukherjee and some undisclosed names. Lets see who would be in King Khan Clan this time.

Are two khans ready to work together?

The news made the hype that Shahrukh khan has called upon Aamir Khan to join him during the show, as he has not been able to secure in any other big name for the show other than himself (if he would not have a recent fight with Salman Khan). But Kiddy khan has declined the rumors that indicated him to be a part of SRK’s much anticipated world tour “Temptations Reloaded”. Aamir also denied being the part of the sequel to Raj Kumar Santoshi’s hit Andaz Apna Apna.
