Shahrukh Khan vs Aamir Khan
Recently Shahrukh Khan introduced his cricket team Kolkatta Knight Riders for the Indian Premier League. Even though it was a cricketing event but with the presence of so many Bollywood personalities made it look like a filmi event. It had the entertainment value that could be compared to the release of some new music album or the Mahorat of some new project.
There were players of his cricket team like Sauvra Ganguly, Ishant Sharma, Akash Chopra and
Murali Karthik. Also present at the occasion was Gauri Khan, Sanjay Kapoor, Jai Mehta and Juhi Chawla. Shahrukh Khan presented his team’s anthem ‘Korbo Lorbo Jeetro Be’ composed by Vishal-Shekhar. To add more entertainment value and press coverage for the event Shahrukh Khan also made comments about Aamir Khan.
Recently, Aamir threw a direct question to Shahrukh Khan to explain who is the real number one right now. Aamir is flying in heavenly skies since the blockbuster “Tare Zameen per” which he directed and played a small role in it. Shahrukh was asked by journalists to say something about this and he said:
Aamir is a dear friend and if he says that I’m second to him then it’s a great compliment to him….oops that was a genuine slip of tongue (amidst peals of laughter)…I mean it’s a great compliment to me. We are complete opposites. He is an intelligent, intellectual person, I’m more physical. I do things. He thinks them out. I know his jokes, he knows mine. He is 100% No. 1…I just said Kkkk Kiran…he really loves Kkkkk Kiran
My wife has warned me if I say anything about Aamir she’ll beat me up. She is an Aamir Khan fan.
There’s Aamir, then there’s me and then there’s Chengez Khan I guess…that keeps changing….I’m proud of having learnt a lot from Aamir. One of my biggest desires in life is to do a film with Aamir and learn a lot from him. We should not belittle the importance of Aamir Khan by comparing with someone like me. He is a standalone, one of the nicest gentleman and actor in the country.
Shahrukh is quite right about the two stars doing a movie together. Aamir Khan should really think about doing a movie where he can hire Shahrukh Khan. Or may be Aamir is just a bit afraid that Shahrukh would take away all the glory and credit for such a movie. Just like Aamir Khan did in Raj Kumar Santoshi’s cult classic ‘Andaz Apna Apna’ where he completely overshadowed Salman Khan with his superior acting skills.

Yes AAMIR and SHAHRUKH should do a movie together,it will be a unique combination in bollywood ever.But the script has to be the best and should be directed by either Yash Chopra or Aditya chopra,only they can make that reality.

After the disaster of Tashan I am not sure either Aamir or SRK will want to work with them.
Aditya is busy with RANI and Yash baba is too old to take over this venture.

Ramu Created “Ram Gopal kay sholay” which acutally burnt down his own name and respect.
Sanjay Leela Bansali: has Sawariya to prove that big sets can’t fool people any more.
Sanjay Gupta: He is good at showing airplanes, cars, and ladies but thats about it but he is good.
Farhan Akhtar will work with SRK but Aamir won’t.
So I think I will have to recommend Danish Mumtaz as the man who can direct a big film like that. He is the man from DUBAI and
will soon be ruling the industry. Mark my words.

Frankly I think too many Indians give too much credit to Shahrukh Khan where there are other greats out there. He has no chance of overshadowing Aamir, not in this life-time. Aamir plans things out and work hard, Shahrukh doesn’t….he’s all for romance and comedy and all over television, psychologically people get fond of the people they see as much as they have seen Shahrukh, and that is just the sad truth.

I think Both Khans are the best in their own way N they should work together.
There is no comparison between them. cause both r differnt kind of stars.
If Aamir is the best actor then Shahrukh is the super star.
Both are intellegent. I think they should made a film like Sholey, Andaz Apna Apna or Karan Arjun type.

Shahrukh may be a good actor….but Aamir is way better for various reasons…And if Aamir was scared of someone else stealing the show then he would be running around in television shows and showing up everywhere like shahrukh or even go n appear in some wedding show like a clown in a circus…..but the truth is is the other way round…Its shahrukh who tries hard to get over his inferiority as an actor…..n if u asked an honest opinion he would probably sell his soul to the devil if he got some money outta it….Aamir never did as much but hes still well liked as much as SRK….So now all u SRK fans tell me whos scared of losing the spotlight? And dont get me wrong…I like SRK as much as I like Aamir…they r good in their own way…but what puts me off is that ppl cant differentiate between a good actor and a person who markets himself more.

There are many Aamir Khan fans these days because Shah Rukh Khan just lets him be Number 1. Like come on Shah! Aamir is taking all your power! Don’t let him be the King. Aamir finally has a Blockbuster film, Tare Zameen Par, and he is sooo happy. Tare Zameen Par was the 5th biggest hit of 2007. Shah had 2 films and they were both bigger hits than Tare Zameen Par. Those films were Om Shanti Om and Chadke India. What are the only hits of Aamir? Lol, Rang De Basanti, Fanaa, and Tare Zameen Par. Shah has one of the biggest hits ever, including Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge, Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham, Kuck Kuch Hota Hai, Kal Ho Na Ho, Veer Zara, Mohabbetain, Kabhi Alvidha Na Kehna… SRK is just a nice person and lets Aamir be the King. SRK is way better.

U know only these 2 stars today are the only debatable guys.they pevail with glamor and glory.
it puts one in dilemma to compare them.
but on whole accounting its found that there r specific things these stars do better than each other.Aamir is way ahead of doing comedy scenes than shahrukh ,well in contrst shahrukh khan romantic roles r just loved.One reason for it is the larger in life dialogues that he gives.people like it as they love fascination.aamir performs a character many more time heart touching and real than SHahrukh . Shahrukh knows what the people want.shahrukh is a media man .aamir is a media dream.well finaaaly Shahruk is the real star but Aamir is the better actor of two because of his verstality.

Well, Shahrukh is definitely the better person and the star. There could be a debate about who’s the better actor, but for me, it shall still be SRK. SRK was nominated for the world’s best actor award. He also had the best civilian in India award. That just shows that SRK is better than Aamir, although there actings are way different. Like SRK does romance, comedy and some action movies. Aamir khan just does random movies. Aamir khan’s ghajini is the most awaited, right? The audience will be very disappointed in Aamir this time because it’s not an original movie. Rab ne bana di jodi, My name is khan(Now because of Karan Johar, named Khan), Billo Barber are at number 6, 3, and 8 (Orderly done). They are gonna surprise people with SRK’s greatest comeback probably. SRK let Aamir have the honour of being no. 1. In the press conference, he said, “If Aamir thinks that he’s number 1 and I’m number 2, that’s a great compliment for him…..sorry that’s a big compliment for me!” Exact words. Some people still think that aamir is the better “Person” and “Actor” and even “STAR”!

Its such a pathetic situation where an actor is compared to a salesman.common everybody knows the stereotype Shahrukh.
Aamir has the grace the variety and I feel he is the best actor that the industry has everproduced.All his movie portray the
character that he plays.The only person who can come near him is Kamal Hasan and not even Amitabh Bachan
Whereas all ShahRukhs movie have Shahrukh Khan.The movies success does not depend on the actor its mainly on the script.
but in case of Aamir even if the film is not good you will admire the role that he played
Its an insult to Aamir when he is compared to such a filth like SRK.Common guys wake up and realise what a movie is all about.

amir khan and kamal hassan r greatest actors of our generation..talking abt great movies, amir has jjws,rangeela,sarfarosh,1947,lagaan,dch,rdb,tzp..and the list will go on in future..on the other hand srk has only swades n cdi..
ak doesnt overact.;srk does..
amir’s movie were nominated for golden globe(rdb) and oscars..ak has the gut to do unconventional roles..

SRK no doubt about it because
(1) He is the only Khan is bollywood who has became a superstar without any Bollywood connection. Aamir khan was launched by his father and uncle who were bollywood movie makers, Salman Khan had support of his father Salim who wrote movies like Deewar and Sholay.
(2) He is the only actor who took Indian movies beyond Asia. DDLJ was the first movie to do well in U.K and Dil se..was the first Indian movie to be in U.K Top 10.
(3) As far as acting in converned, no one EVER has been as versitile as he has been.
A common man – Just remember how beautifully he has played A jobless engineer in Raju ban gaya Gentleman and a failed student and lover but an ace musician in Kabi haan kabhie naa.
A young agressive lover – in deewana and Darr. Those movies established him as a hero and as soon as he was accepted as a hero, he played a negative role on Anjam, when other heros NEVER dared to play those kind of Cherectors. Even Aamir khan rejected the role of Darr.
Action movie – Now it was time for action so he did Karan Arjun and Koyla and Josh which proved him that he can do good action scenes.
Comedy – To prove his comic timing so he did Yess Boss and Duplicate and steal the scenes in DDLJ in which his comic timing was amazing. He proved that he can do comedy too.
Romance – Do I need to remind DDLJ , Kuch Kuch hota hai, Mohabattein etc etc… ?
Hat ke movie – Swades , Chak de India , Devdas and Paheli are enough to prove his talent.

Mrugesh gave many examples of Shahrukh’s films. in a way he is biased coz he talked about only srk s films. Imagine if Shahrukh played as Mangal Pandey. Srk played as asoka in his production but cant put the soul nd depth in the chahracter (which is one of the reason of becoming an actor). though Shahrukh has done well in many films.which of his character will last except in devdas (a third tym produced film). compare The Rising with Asoka. no comparison of Lagaan, Taare Zameen Par, Rang de basnti. even ppl didint lyk Srk’s Don the acting was missinng somewhere only there was style even the songs were remixes.ppl lyk the simple but well acted Don of Amitabh Bachan. Ak (Aamir Khan) even after a long hiatus of 3 years he proved his mettle. no body is king here. mind it! if there will b a king remember the previous and current legends lyk Dilip Kumar, amitabh bachan ….

I peronally think it will be insurt of shahrukh to being compared with such a actor who actor.Amir does not have a good significant style as compared to shahrukh.
I do not mean like that amir is bad actor.BUt when there is
comparison shahrukh obviously comes first.

To Tycoonz – SRK no guts ? Lol you got to be joking. It takes guts to do a film which is already a legend (Devdas) and make it a hit. Even Amitabh bachchan never tired to get into shoes of Dilipkumar although he is his favorite actor. Shahrukh did and succeded. As far as Don is concerned. Shahrukh made it clear that his Don is superiour techincally and script wise. There is no comparision to the original Don which was a typical masala movie. Shahrukh’s Don grossed 250 million worldwide which is enough to call it a hit.
Aamir was raised in mumbai and in the movie industry itself. He was launched by his Dad and even after a successful launch, he failed to leave a mark. Aamir was a flop actor after giving flops like Tum Mere ho, Holi, Raakh, Jawani Zindabad, Awwal Number, Afsana pyar ka, Daulat ki jung. He was than Re-launched by his cousin mansoor khan is jo jeeta wo hi Sikandar which got him on track.
On the other hand Shahrukh was a new guy in mumbai. He was from Delhi. No movie connection. He worked hard for success and got success from first movie itself. He never had to get lauched again by anyone.

Well, If certainly there has been a comparison then it is for sure that both are two finest actors.But if taken an individual opinion, I think personally both are legends and legends are not to be compared. You cannot compare dilip kumar, rajesh khanna, amitabh bachhhan, dev anand etc…so as srk and ak.
SRK had no connections with the movie world when he joined bollywood and yet he is called the King Khan…He has given hits that the whole world can recall in centuries..SO, he fought for his own place alone with no one backing him up…But this is also evident that he has witnessed many flops too…but the hits then overshadowing the later.
Aamir Khan had backups but still wasn’t successful with it. Again he was launched by his cousin in jjws … and then went his success stories…hits by ak are also history..he too have given many flops..
Both emerged as versatile actors and directors…though as direction aamir khan has grooved his way…with unconventional acting skill…while shahrukh’s ashoka wasn’t successful yet according to me was a good effort..
there is chakde on one hand and other hand lagaan….there is kuch kuch hota hain…there is ghulam…and now rab ne bana di jodi and ghajini…so, if compared it will be a boundaryless debate…
its better if we take them as legends…and comparison may only come if they work together…who knows next dhoom can be the one?…

There is no reason for fighting over Aamir and SRK. So far acting skills are concerned, srk stand no where in front of aamir. srk is a mere stereo type monotonous actor, who seems disgusting. however, he is a darling of the mass, so even bakwaas flicks like OSO or main hun na make money. Aamir is the only complete actor these days.

once again people you are listing SRK’s bigget hits – its has been pointed out over and over again tha he is a better opportunist than Aamir – he depends upon top directors to get him good movies – he knows what the public wants – he represents popular culture. Aamir on the ohter hand is offbeat – he of course wants his movies to be successful, but he doesn’t do it for the sole reason of selling his movies. Shahrukh sometimes does offbeat movies too, that has more to do then irrelevant songs including a lot of other stars, like Chank de India, but Aamir has like a passion for different projects, he seeks them out and does it. To me, he apears more cerebral. I do not like his potshots at Shahrukh, but I definitely enjoy aamir khan movies more. His movies are almost always stimulating.

Well… to me one thing that separates them is tht SRK can make stupid movies enjoyable whereas Aamir Khan doesnt have this quality…. Had Aamir Khan acted in the movies with weaker scripts like Om Shanti Om, Mein hoo na and Rab ne bana di jodi they would never hav become a hit
U can never say whos better and whos not… just like you can never compare Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid…. One is an entertainer and technically sound whereas the other one is not so much of an entertainer but technically perfect. Both are equally priceless for the team but fans love sachin more… same is the case for SRK… Fans love SRK more

Amir khan is a far better actor than SRK. SRK is not atall an good actor.
I don’t thing he can act different characters like Amir and other actor have done.
He has to learn a lot.First heshould compare himself with his contemprary actors like Amir
Hitrik and others.Why the hell he feels that he is as great as AB.He can compare himself with Big B when he will turn to 65 not now.Useless media only has made him Badsah, King khan and others. First of all, I think both of them are very good actors. One can only be considered great if you can do something really well for a long time and in a unique way. However, I think there styles are different as are their approaches to acting. Shahruk is an a classical actor who uses external histrionics as do stage actors; Aamir is a method actor who internalizes emotion and shoes less feeling on screen. They both shine in films that showcase their styles well: Shahrukh in Baazigar, Darr (One of the 5 best performances in Hindi film history in my opinion), DDLJ, Mohabbatein, Devdas, Swades, Veer-Zaara and Chak De are all great performances with much variation. Aamir is strong in roles which require more situtional acting: QSQT, Jo jeeta Wo Sikandar, Akele Hum Akele Tum, Raja Hindustani, Lagaan, Mangal Pandey, Ghajini. I think your preference depends on what style you prefer. But I will say one thing, its not fair to say that Shahrukh is not a good actor (maybe not great though), he has not only dominated his own emotive style of acting but also Aamir (and Dilip’s)restrained (method) form of acting as in Dil se, Kabhi ha kabhi na, Swades, Mohabbatein and Chak de. I feel as though many people in these message boards no very little about acting, and base their opinons on prejudiced notions. I am trained in acting and have read many books on different styles, and I am speaking from a good base of knowlegdge. My conclusion is that both are very good in their own ways, if for some reason you don’t like one of them, then don’t watch their films but its stupid to complain and disrespect these great artists who make some great films.

As for as my concern abt 54th filmfare Best actor award should have given to Aamir khan.I think award making people will have a problems with Aamir khan to preferred him.But dont worry Aamir we will always with you.THIS guys dont have any sense to understand the performance,As this guys always playing around with amir.you cant categories amir ghajani performance with Hrithik Performance.Sorry sir we dont like your idea of selecting Hrithik.

i think aamir khan is the best in bollywood today, i do not know where to start and how to start because he is a versatile actor, see his performance in his movies, i dot not hate shahrukh but only thing which makes me uncomfortable every time when i see his movies that he just does love stories he needs some change now, he loves to sing a song with his heroin around the trees well come on yaar, he was good in darr and pardes and devdas because he did some different roles in those movies, right now he is 44 and he is getting old if he does not do different roles now it would not be possible for him to do the same love stories 4 years from now and then he would not be able to do chalanging roles and i realy like one thing about aamir that he changes himself according to the character, see his hairstayle which is diferent in every movie since sarfrosh and on other hand shahruch in main hoon na he played a major or sipahi role and he did not even cut his hair for that and on top of that he was trying to become keanu reaves from matrix in the climax of that movie well cut the crap yaar how can anyone chase a van with the bloody rikshaw, it should not be like this, being an actor you should be ready for everything for evey change, aamir and shahruch they both have the same sirnamem, same khan sirname wont make you good actor MR. KING KHAN {HAHAHHAHAHHAHAHA}…and naseerudin shah said that bollywood awardss are joke only amir is the person who has been to OSCARS…….AND HE WILL AGAIN…

SRK can NEVER overshadow Aamir! Aamir’s formidable acting talents are known to all and his charisma, his image in the hearts of the masses is legendary. Aamir the ACE KHAN is far better than Shahrukh Khan so called King. In terms of stardom Shahrukh is ahead but when u consider Professionalism, versatility, quality, depth in acting and dedication to one’s work there is no comparison between Aamir Khan and Shahrukh Khan. Aamir the ACE Khan is far ahead not only of Shahrukh but all other actors since two decades.Shahrukh Khan is a media man .aamir is a media dream and a (1 men show)and he does not need biggies in his film to make a hit.

oh come’on.srk should nt b compared to aamir..srk is the greatest actor bollywood has got..aamir is an intelligant actor,but srk is no.1..its was not an easy job for srk to reach at this level..he had no godfather in the industry,he had to work hard to get movies initially in his career but aamir got a EASY launch from his MAAMUJAAN’S movie..initially aamir did all same movies like qsqt but srk did different types of movies n now he is on the top…whenever we do debate on no.1 rank,why srk is common link?for e.g-srk vs aamir,srk vs akshay,srk vs big b,srk vs salman…why???bcoz everyone wants to beat him,bt he wants to win..this proves that he is on top..and srk has always desired to work with aamir bt no response from aamir..this proves he is scared of being overshadowed by srk
no doubt aamir is also a good actor n ll make agud match with srk

Amir is an actor whereas Shahrukh is just a shining star who is fading now.
Both AK & SRK belongs to film industry and film needs actors not a star,
So if u all talking about AK & SRK, then amir is better than srk.
BCZ they are in a film industry. Don’t compare them by giving stupid resons
(about their personal life).

I know amir is a perfectionist and shahrukh is mindblowing actor.If both come together then it would be a great combination ever
done. Both are my favourite actors.They both have given a good platform to bollywood .They have to become friends. I like them.

Shahrukh is ace khan. Aamir does same kind of roles, just changes is physical appearance but does similar stuff over and over. He can’t do a straight drama anymore, like Raja Hindustani or Mann. He was better before. Now he is just trying to impress stupid people, like the ones on this message board. TZP, he didn’t do anything. Ghajini was crap, he just took off his shirt and screamed. Mangal pandey was okay but anybody could have pulled of that roll, I must give kudos to the make up people. Lagan was pretty good but didn’t see anything from him that we have not seen in many movies before. I did love Ghulam, and Sarfarosh, but back then Aamir was did not care about what others thought-he was not chasing western awards like a bhikari (beggar).

… everyone knows that SRK is a devil
…remember what he did when hrithik was launched
…he is very insecure
…he just wanted to be no.1
…by any means… danced in award ceremonies to get best actor award
…that is why aamir dont accept these awards…he paid channels & agencies to promote him
…also defame other stars(salman)….he is not a king khan…he is KING KONG
…i firmly believe that he & his friends are disease to film industry…which has to be cured
..another thing…his six packs…man he looks like a MAJDOOR..digging roads…also he promoted it like anything

I think threre are so many fans of SRK because no doubt he is more popular than amir khan. But
if you talk about acting skills then none of bollywood actor can be compared with amir khan.
and those people who think that he scares to work togeather with SRK, they should watch “andaz
apna apan” and “Ishq” in these movies amir khan proved that he can put every actor down by his
amazing acting skills. so bottom line is Amir khan is much batter actor then SRK

well sare comments perr ne k bad mjey lagta hai log such se bag rahe hai srk ik aisa akela star hai jo apne balbote per actor bna jb k amir ka bap hindi films mai mojood tha ik report k mutabiq voting hoi k sub se zyada fan kis k hai sub se oper srk 61% aur uther star get only 39% amir ki films ki story achii hoti aur acting khuch bhi nahi ager amitab ko num 1 samajte ho to srk ko bhi samjo ku k big b ne khud kaha hai k srk no 1 hai yad rakho big b bhi romance acting ker ta tha actually jo log keh te hai wo srk se jal te hai
