Some of the Indian Muslim actors were not invited for the wedding of Abhishekh & Aishwarya. This was to avoid some unwanted scenes. It was reported that Mr. Salman Khan prepared to damage the ceremony supported by his other Khan actor friends. If any of us was in place of Big B, we would have done the same thing to avoid a scene. Nothing more. And, more over, ITS THE FAMILY OF BIG B PROBLEM TO INVITE WHO AND TO AVOID WHO, WHY WE SHOULD BOTHER. WHATEVER EDUCATION WE GET, WHATEVER CULTURE WE HAVE, OUR MIND IS STILL INDIAN. WE ALL NEED TO COME OUT OF THAT SHELL.

I think It is good they didn’t invite any
muslims. What if any muslims were jealous
of the baachan family because they are rich and wealthy unlike muslims? and they probably wanted to bomb them

Your remarks on the Muslim issue in the wedding are misguided and wrong. Please do not entertain such thoughts even or be influenced by those that construct them. They are malicious and repulsive.

But to set the record straight you must know that Abu Jani the celebrated designer treats Jaya as her sister and she him as a brother and he as the Mama of the boy conducted all the ceremonies for Abhishek. Habib Nadiadwala and Anwar Ali, brother of Mehmood are my dearest friends and we go to the Haji Ali dargah at Mumbai regularly together. They were an important part of the wedding. Also know that one of Shweta my daughter and Abhishek’s dearest friends Hassan, is from Pakistan. They were all studying together in Boston. Both my children refused to conduct any marriage ceremony until Hassan was present. We had a lot of problems arranging a visa for him, but come he did and we waited. Once there, he conducted himself just like a family member in a house where a wedding was taking place.

Above all this however you must know that my greatest joy at the wedding was that I shared the important moment with my staff. My drivers, of which Habib is one that has remained with me for long and Mohammed all came with their families as did all the other domestic staff. I felt proud that I could feed them with my own hands and look after those that have looked after me for over 30 years.

OK, first of all: I am a Muslim and was a fan of the Bachans, thinking that they were generous and humble in spite of their wealth and fame. It has come as a shock to learn about their refusal to invite any Muslims to the wedding and not allow any Muslims within the vicinity of the wedding venue, whether due to ridiculous Hindu hocus pocus or just sheer prejudice and/or jealousy.
If the Bachans really did not invite Muslims to Abishek’s wedding then they have definitely lost all respect in most people’s eyes. However, this now seems to be secondary compared to some of the facile and pathetic comments that have appeared on this thread. For example: Soniya with the comment that non-Muslims not being allowed into Makkah is in some way a valid parallel to the Bachan’s decision not to invite Muslims, or to only have Hindus at Abishek’s wedding: now I know that being a Hindu you may have the inclination to worship anything (at the last count was it over a million ‘gods’ you get to choose from?), but last time I checked, the Bachans had not yet been deified in your faith. Furthermore, most sensible people with a shred of education, which should include plenty of Hindus (but evidently not you) would know that the requirement that only Muslims enter Makkah is determined by Islamic law and is because it is sacred ground – I hate to burst your fantasy, but the Bachans’ home is definitely not that for any religion, and so your parallel is a foolish one made out of sheer ignorance.
Furthermore, regardless of whether or not Muslims were allowed at the wedding or not, any faith which is so delicate and kamzor that you need to marry trees to ward off evil and keep ‘impure’ people away from a marriage is dubious to say the least and more of a burden than a cure to problems. What a headache, and I pity those of you which think this is all ‘OK’ and viable way of life!
Meaning no offence to the moderate people out there, but reading some of the garbage here leaves no choice but to reply in like manner.
And for the desperate ‘patriot’ who signs off with ‘jai hind’ after burbling some hardline Hindutva rubbish – you can have your ‘bhuka nanga hindustan’, it’s no use to anyone else.

And why are you so fascinated about hollywood stars? Why should they be invited to this wedding?? Who are hollywood stars anyway…

Infact in terms of eye-balls, indian movie industry reaches more people, thus making Amitabh and SRK more famous than any hollywood actor.
