I just read about Asha Bhosle’s concert in Australia. It reminded me all the Asha Bhosle songs that I love. Hindi Cinema was truly blessed to have R. D. Burman and Asha Bhosle. I love almost all songs composed by R.D. Burman and performed by Asha Bhosle but here is a shortlist of my favorite songs sung by Asha Bhosle:

• O Meray Sona Re (Lyrics)
  From the 1966 classic ‘Tesri Manzil’. The song is picturized on Shammi Kapoor and Asha Parekh. Teesri Manzil was one of many hit movies featuring the music of R.D. Burman, voice of Asha Bhosle and produced and directed by Nasir Hussain.
• Chura Liya (Lyrics)
  Again Ram Dev Burman, Asha Bhosle and Nasir Hussain, Released in 1973.
• Yeh Mera Dil yaar ka Dewana (Lyrics)
  From the 1978 classic, Don. Music composed by Kalyan ji Anand ji.
• Do Lafzon Ki Hai (Lyrics)
  Movie: The Great Gambler, Music composed by R. D. Burman.
• Kahin Aag Lage (Lyrics)
  From the movie Taal (1999) produced and directed by Subhash Ghai.
• Yeh Kiya Jagah hai dosto (Lyrics)

• Dil Cheez Kiya Hai (Lyrics)
  Another song from the movie Umrao Jaan.
• Le Gayi le Gayi (Lyrics)
  From 1997′s Yash Chopra’s Musical hit ‘Dil tu Pagal Hai’. Music composed by Uttam Singh
• Raat Akeli Hai (Lyrics)
  The year is 1967 and the movie is Jewel Theif. Music by Sachin Dev Burman aka S.D. Burman.
• Ude Jab Jab Zulfen teri (Lyrics)
  A classic song from a classic movie Naya Daur (1957) starring Dilip Kumar. Music composed by O.P. Nayyar.
