India Times, one of the largest news and media company in India is actually a greedy monster. I hate their websites so much that whenever I come across their pages I try to avoid them as much as possible.
Just have a look at the main page of The Times of India, India Times and India Times US edition. Each of them has so many ads that it becomes nearly impossible to differentiate between ads and news stories. Specially the India Times website which has more links to Air Deccan tickets than to actual news stories. They even have Air Deccan and Sahara Airline ticket offers hidden between the links. I have written a few emails to their webmasters and haven’t recieved any reply. Do they think that almost every India Times visitor would be in an immidiate rush to buy an Air Ticket? What they have in their minds?
There second obsession is with “Send money to India” ads. They want to make it obligatory for NRIs to click on these links. Sometimes it feels like that the entire purpose behind the Times Web presence is to display the Ads for Citibank and Air Deccan.
